The Sisters
A chemical desire
blows up in the glass.
A kind and childlike smile
full of innocence and dreams,
ternderness and double meanings.
Up front the twin sisters
want to appear at the floor.
One of them wishes to be
the one she can never see
happyness breathes past her neck
every day and every night,
something remains in her mind,
something that will never come true.
On the other side, her double.
Her face reflected in a different form.
Like a mirror pointing the difference,
a truth we are not used to seeing:
here we are and this is what we do.
What she wants to be pleases us,
what she really is disturbs us
because this is the reality that hurts.
It must be hunger, it could be.
It must be unfairness, it can be.
Hunger or despair
that´s why they are here:
just to say "wake up!".
